Friends of FIlm Friday event information
Last year marked the 50th anniversary of Blake Edwards’ adaptation of Truman Capote’s best-selling novella Breakfast At Tiffany’s. Audrey Hepburn stars as Southern runaway Lula Mae Barnes who reinvents herself as Holly Golightly, a New York party girl with a zest for life, designer clothes, and well-heeled dates. Then she meets her neighbor, aspiring writer Paul (George Peppard), a kept man suffering from writer’s block. The will-they-won’t-they romance that ensues is one of the big screen's great love stories.
Special guest speaker: Dr. Jeffrey G. Carroll, Department Chair of Department of English, University of Hawaii at Manoa
